It is day one and we arrive at Tom's cambin which is on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. We won't have much time here because on the next day we, Jan and I, head out for Covered Wagon Ranch.

On the second leg of our trip we head to The Covered Wagon Ranch in Gallatin Gateway, Montana. I was there to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. Jan was there to do some horseback trail riding. We did have some problems with altitude sickness but with some Tylenol and a little rest we overcame it. We were at an altitude of around 6,500 feet.

On the next leg of journey we headed to Bozeman, MT, On the way to Bozeman we stopped in Big Sky, MT for lunch. After spending the night in Bozeman we headed to Paradise Valley, MT were Jan and Maddie James' Montana Ranchers book series was set. On the way there we stopped in Emigrant, MT to visit with Dino the Dinosaur the trade mark of Sinclair Petroleum. After traveling through Montana we can see why it is called Big Sky country.

If you can believe it one morning Daddy Bill arose at 4:30 am to take a drive up to Sawtell Peak to see the sunrise over Yellowstone National Park. It was worth it.
